About VOCES

Voces was formed by Martyn Warren in 1987 in order to sing Renaissance choral music in the liturgical context for which it was written (primarily at Buckfast Abbey, a Benedictine monastery in Devon, England).  Since then it has developed a popular series of concerts, and recorded CDs of polyphony and Gregorian chant.  Singers are drawn from a 50-mile radius,  chosen for their quality of voice and musicianship, which make it possible to develop a specific sound and to prepare high-quality performances with restricted rehearsal time.

Interested in singing?

Vacancies arise from time to time for singers with clear voices, excellent sight-reading and musicianship, recent experience of small-group singing, and a love of early music.   Please go to 'Contact Us' in the menu on the left, and leave a message and contact details.
